Tenth Day of Fitmas – leg exercises, cranberry margaritas

On the tenth day of Fitmas, Northern Bootcamp gave to me…

Day 10Welcome to day ten of the 12 Days of Fitmas. Christmas is nearly here and we’re getting in the party spirit!

Today’s leg exercises will help you build that leg and core strength – just make sure you don’t drink too many of today’s festive cocktail recipe, or that leg strength could quickly disappear again!

Beginners should check out our Fitmas guide. Start with the First Day of Fitmas for the full twelve days!

Exercise

This one, the lunge and curtsy, is especially challenging, particularly if you do enough of them. Plus, if the Queen comes to Christmas dinner, you’ll have your curtsy perfected!

Leg LiftsDay Ten Routine: Legs III, Lunge and curtsy

  • 10-15 times on each leg

Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent and abs engaged. Lunge to the left side with left leg, bending knee 90 degrees and shifting weight behind you; keep left knee over heel, right leg straight and left foot facing forward (not shown).

Immediately lift left knee back toward chest, then cross the leg behind you, bending both knees into a curtsy.

Do 10-15 times; switch sides and repeat.
