That’s why the idea of ‘celeb diet trends’ is frustrating for us – because so many people follow these pieces of advice when, in a lot of cases, it’s making things worse.
We don’t want to criticise every celebrity diet, and we acknowledge that there are many celebrities out there doing excellent work for the world of dieting and nutrition, but it’s vital to remember that in the vast majority of cases, celebrities are purely trying to market a product or service. Sometimes celebrities will gain weight on purpose so that they can lose that weight, bring out a product, and then attribute their miraculous weight loss to that product – simply put, it’s a marketing scam.

The idea that you can ‘flush’ your system of impurities and give your organs a ‘clean slate’ by consuming certain products is ludicrous. Your body already does a pretty good job of removing unwanted chemicals from the body in the form of your kidneys and your liver. So if you’re spending hours trawling the web for the latest detox craze, remember that the best detoxifying agents known to man are sitting safe and sound behind your rib-cage.
There is no secret!
The real secret to weight loss is no secret at all: eat healthy food and make sure you’re getting enough exercise. A combination of good food and good exercise is the only scientifically-proven way to achieve your goals.
