I weighed 104kgs (16st 5lb) on the first day of bootcamp. This morning I weighed 85kgs (13st 5lb). I’ve still got a way to go, but I feel so much better and am noticeably more toned. I’ve been wheat-free since I left bootcamp, and as well as helping with my weight loss, I am sleeping better and I really believe it has helped my rheumatoid arthritis: I have no pain or discomfort and my doctor has taken me off one of the drugs I was taking, and I’m very happy about this.
But the reason I’m writing today is that I wanted to tell you I’ve just (this morning) completed my first half-marathon (in 2h9m). I like running, but I don’t think I’d every run more than 11 or 12km before. It went very well, until about the 19km mark when my legs got very heavy and stiff. But I wanted to be able to write this email, and that kept me going. Amazingly after a cool-down and a stretch, I don’t feel too bad now.
Thank you once again for everything; I hope to come back next summer as not only did I have such an enjoyable week, it was good for me too!
